For starters, hop in the shower and get your hair grease free and clean (preferably the night before). Apply a brand like Tresseme's leave in conditioner.

Heat up the straightener while brushing your hair, NO BACK COMBING! (Some people do this regularly every day, for this look DO NOT!)

Take 1" sections at a time and straighten all of your hair, brushing your bangs down in front. *When you straighten your bangs, curve in on the bottom.*

Make sure your hair is parted in the middle, no side parts! If you want to copy Selena's look exactly; near the very end of your part, at the back of your head, brush the hair straight back.

Apply shine spray if desired.
